Inefficient crossing signal for Memorial Drive

This one-lane connector from Memorial Drive to Mass Ave has a "do not walk" signal for much of the traffic cycle, despite the fact that cars coming from Memorial Drive have a red light for most of that time. Because of this, most people ignore the light. Safety, and adherence to the traffic signal, could be improved by decoupling this crossing signal from the others and allowing it to show the "walk" signal whenever it is safe to do so.
