The city desparately needs a crosswalk near here

Especially with the hugely popular bus line on the south side of the street, people from the northern neighborhood are constantly darting into the street to cross last minute. The nearest crosswalks are at least 1-2 blocks away in either direction, so nobody walks several blocks down, crosses the street, then walks back. Most foot traffic from the alphabet district funnels toward Burnside through either 22nd Place or 22nd Avenue, neither of which have crosswalks across Burnside -- and the bus stop is between them.
